Accessibility Checklist and Commitments

·      Ensure Ground-level entry, ramped access, and/or elevators to the venue.

·      Signage Placed at inaccessible entrances with directions to accessible entrances.

·      Assemble integrated and dispersed wheelchair seating in the audience.

·      Ensure Wheelchair-accessible box office, stage, and dressing rooms.

·      Ensure Wheelchair-accessible buffet and beverages when used.

·      Ensure wheelchair-accessible restrooms, including accessible sinks, water fountains, and soap & paper dispensers.

·      Confirm wheelchair-accessible toilet stall free of the door swing, including a 60” diameter or T-turn clear floor space.

·      Confirm accessible emergency exits and audio/visual emergency alarms.

·      Designate accessible parking spaces with adjoining curb cuts and an accessible route from parking to the venue entrance.

·      Festival Manager is the formally designated staff member responsible for overseeing accessibility and Section 504/ADA compliance.

·      Sign language interpretation for performances with spoken word.

·      Scripts and text of verbal presentations shall always be available.

·      Audio induction assistive listening system shall always be available.

 ·      Open or Closed captioning of audiovisuals shall always be available.

·      Audio description of visual art, media, performances, or other presentations

·      Large-print labeling with high contrast

·      Accessible Website (including alt tags)

·      Access information/accommodations with appropriate disability symbols are included in all publicity about the project (i.e., press release, program, media, e-mail) shall be required starting in July of 2023.
