Join our family of friends
Make a one-time or recurring gift to our annual fund. We try to make our concerts as accessbile as possible and only 15% of our income comes from ticket sales. The rest comes from our generous family of friends.
When we created the Lake Champlain Chamber Music Festival in 2009, little did we imagine how quickly our audiences would embrace it. Your attendance at concerts and events, your donations, and your goodwill have made it clear that the LCCMF is incredibly valuable to you. You encourage us to continue bringing the most thoughtful programming and highest quality music-making to our audiences.
Your financial support has allowed us to present legendary personalities such as violinist Arnold Steinhardt of the Guarneri String Quartet, established young leaders of the music world such as pianists Ignat Solzhenitsyn and Jonathan Biss, and rising talents such as cellist Zlatomir Fung. You have facilitated the commissioning of new works and made it possible to invite distinguished visiting composers such as Steven Stucky and Joan Tower. Your further support will help us expand our outreach activities during the school year to reach more students and aspiring young musicians in a lasting way, through our ONE Strings project and through our collaborations with the Vermont Youth Orchestra.
We hope you will consider supporting the Festival financially and participate by attending concerts, master classes, and more. Please invite your friends to do the same. Together, we can ensure that what began as a dream of Soovin and a few friends is a lasting and wonderful part of our cultural landscape. The Festival is a 501(c)3 organization, and gifts are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
Your Gift Allows Us To:
Keep ticket prices affordable.
Continue to bring artists of the highest caliber to participate in the Festival.
Support the Young Composers Seminar. This tuition-free festival within a festival has enabled us to bring some of the country’s most outstanding young composers to work and learn together. Vermonter Tim Woos (2009 Young Composers Seminar), who studied at the Curtis Institute, and is one of several LCCMF Young Composers to be honored by the Morton Gould Young Composer Awards. By supporting young composers like Tim, you are helping to ensure that chamber music composition remains a vibrant, living art form.
Support the Resident Young Artists. Since 2014, this tuition-free program has brought a fine young ensemble to the Festival and brings them back for three additional residencies during the year.
Include free Bach in Church and other outreach events as part of the Festival. These shorter concerts in more intimate settings have proved to be a hit with Festival goers.
Continue to support and administer the ONE Strings Program at the Integrated Arts Academy in Burlington.
